President/Founder – Steve Petersen – Spent over 21 years in the US Navy beginning as a Surface Line Officer but transitioning to the Engineering Duty Officer ranks as a Lieutenant to work on Navy Maintenance and Acquisition projects. Major Programs he supported while on active duty were in the areas of Space surveillance and the Command and Control aspects for the emerging Navy Ballistic Missile Defense Capability or Theater Air Defense.

Upon retiring from the Navy, as a Commander, Steve has worked in the greater Huntsville/Redstone Arsenal area for over 26 years. First at Boeing as Chief Engineer on a Navy Command and Control proposal and then as Chief Engineer for the Missile Defense Test and Evaluation subsystem. After leaving Boeing Steve worked for numerous small companies directly supporting Army acquisition programs in the Air Defense arena. His last active job on the arsenal was as special projects officer in support to the Chief Engineer for Cruise Missile Defense and finally the PEO for Missiles and Space. In 2015, Steve left the direct support role and has focused on managing Preferred Program Solutions.

Vice President – Tim Petersen – Spent over 20 years in the US Army as both a tactical and operational logistician. He served tours of duty at Ft. Stewart, Ft. Campbell, Hohenfels, DE, Ft. Bragg, and Augusta, Maine. He deployed conducting combat operations in both Iraq and Afghanistan and in support of contingency operations in Africa. Tim has experience supporting both traditional Army Soldiers and Army and Joint Special Operation forces. He culminated his career as the State Inspector General for the Maine National Guard. Upon retirement from the Army Tim, comes to Preferred Program Solutions with considerable operational and leadership knowledge and skills.
